What We Do

With the support of Darlington Borough Council, BEAT has been supporting Darlington Residents with a service of Benefit Advice and help for 10 years.

 

Take up of underclaimed entitlement

Many benefits go unclaimed because people, often those in the greatest need, are not aware of the help or would benefit from Support to handle the maze of complex rules 

and procedures.  

We can help work alongside you to ensure you are aware of the support you need and work with you to obtain it.

We can help you with the full range of benefit issues but also work with you to obtain them

 

We’ve got your back

Don’t despair if you don’t succeed with your claim straight away.  We can work with you to challenge decisions if you are refused.  Most of the cases we help appeal are successful.

 

Getting in touch

  • You can ring our answering machine on 01325 734999 at any time and we will get back to you as soon as we can.  Note that we are a small team and we may not be able to ring you back straight away.  We will normally respond to all calls - Leave a message if you do not want us to ring back

  • Call in to one of our community Outreaches and make an appointment.  Firthmoor Monday 10 am - 12 pm (appointments via Community Centre reception .  Further outreaches are currently in development - Please check back shortly
